Boarding passes please, the Agnes Olibhéar is about to depart...

Eoin Walsh invites travellers for a journey unlike any other - a voyage aboard his boat, the Agnes Olibhear, to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Skellig Michael on the edge of Europe off the southwest coast of Ireland.

UNESCO says that Skellig Michael "is of outstanding universal value being an exceptional, and in many respects unique example of an early religious settlement deliberately sited on a pyramidal rock in the ocean, preserved because of a remarkable environment."

Only 180 visitors are allowed to visit the island each day, weather permitting, from April through October.

Corey Taratuta, co-host of IrishFireside.com, explains what the visitor experiences in his Journey to Skellig Michael During Puffin Season.
